Looking for F.Giuli's FS9 Fiat BR20 repaints

A good day to everybody! :wavey:

I recently converted F. Giuli's FS9 Fiat BR-20 Cicogna to CFS2. It converts well and flies nicely with old IS4G's flight model files, besides it offers very good framerates.

I would like to retire IS4G's CFS1-like model for my MTO and CAI BoB Belgium expeditionary force, but Giuli's BR20 comes only in Spanish Civil War livery. By the same token, screenies included in the pack show the BR20 in R.A. colours.

Does anyone know of Regia Aeronautica repaints for this nice aircraft? I am searching through SOH's huge FS9 repaint library for Giuli's BR20 repaints to convert to CFS2, but it's taking me a lot of time without much success.

I've looked through the FS9 Aircraft section, and I can't find that aircraft, let alone any repaints for it. :isadizzy:

Oh, there's a very simple explanation for that: I screwed up! :redf:

The aircraft is for FS2002 and not FS2004, which probably explains the conversion ease. Here are a couple of screenies from the pack, the first is the SCW skin the model comes with and the second shows it in R.A. livery.

I do think this BR20 looks nice and it would fit MTO and ETO well. I could not recall if I got it here or over at Simviation, but I just checked and it's not listed among the FS2002 uploads here. So it's at Simviation.

We could get in touch with Mr.Giuli and have him upload the BR20 here as well, perhaps with R.A. skins....;)

Over at Simviation Francesco Giuli's Fiat BR20 is listed in the FS2004 Vintage section as a FS2002/2004 aircraft!

So I am not getting that elderly sindrome just yet! :sheep:

Could This Be It ?

After much digging this AM, I found a reference to OldWheat's AI BR-20 - unfortunately, the link is a 404 dead end here on SOH:

A ai version of IS4G's Fiat Br-20 with 3 new skins for Battle of Britain, Spanish Civil War & the Greek campaign, This is set up as an ai-only plane as the schemes look a bit tacky up close but are adequate at combat distances. That's what I meant.

Twelwe years later the IS4G's CFS1-derivate model looks quite hideous. I agree with OW about the texture mapping of Giuli's model, yet it looks like an airplane instead of a cardboard box with wings. Besides, Giuli's model gets 45/50+ fps on my old rig, so it might very well be that it can be displayed in numbers. I already have alternative prop discs for it.

What I don't understand is why we cannot find Regia Aeronautica skins, while few screenies included in the original pack show it in such colours. Probably they were never uploaded.
