Does anyone have a copy of the tutorial by Corrado mentioned in this post? Clipped from post #26 in the knowledge base sticky:

Kevboy,
If you can’t figure it out drop me an e-mail at MC5834@mclink.it
http://www.isoliti4gatti.com/shine.htm (Link is long since dead, another source is needed)
Corrado”

“Oh, interesting, I didn’t know that you’ve hacked it
So you can add reflection and specular maps or just basic polygon shine?”

Thanks for any help,

Daniel

I'm trying for a response from italianwings.it for a copy of the "shine.htm" from Corrodo fellas.
Will post results if it's favorable or poor.

Might take a few days but I'm as persistent as a hungry hound on a raw steak when it comes to tracking lost gold.

Cheers

There is a zip file for the tutorial there, but I downloaded it and it's empty. I guess we have to hope someone has it stashed on their hd somewhere.

I was able to download the zip file from the link that Thudman provided. It is on the team FTP, my folder. It is a word document. If you do not have word, let me know and I will convert to an .rtf file as wordpad will not generate the graphics for this file.

TY Thudman!!

Bob

Edit: Converting to rtf doesn't generate the graphics. M$ has a word document viewer that you can download and install if you do not have Word.

On this borrowed Vista rig I was able to open the zip, but for anyone looking for Corrado's work you'd do well to explore that link Thudman gives.... :icon30:

This is a bit confusing. How do you know where one material line ends and another begins? What changes do you have to make to the .dds entries? Do you just simply change me_262a_s.dds to _r.dds or add an _r.dds after changes? And won't adding a new .dds texture entry corrupt the model? :isadizzy:

For anyone who doesn't have this, I'll post it in the knowledge base sticky tonight. Thank everybody for tracking this one down.
