sounds familiar that... even now after doing something minor i keep 2 fingers poised above Ctrl+S, that way i finish it, drop the fingers and i stay a happy chappy for a while longer... till i realise i've overwritten a previously done scheme then have to go about fiddling with the layers again :icon_lol:

LOL, done that several times. Right now I'm saving after each and every little change, touch wood, hasn't crashed for a while (immortal words I'm sure I'll regret saying).

Jamie

now you've said that your photoshop is thinking "i'll get ya when you least expect it!" whatever you do, do not leave the computer unattended, have brews ferried to you, gotta keep stag with PS :icon_lol:

Thanks Ed.

I'm not producing at Gary's phenomenal rate, I simply don't have time, but plodding along.

Ta,
Jamie

yup slow but steady in my hangar also.... tweaking the textures of the Donationware P-51B, first up.... (thanks a lot Jamie, you kicked my OCD into overdrive!) Zirkus Rosarius! :icon_lol:

Ooh, now you've started it, Nigel will be asking where his Aegean Ghost is?

it was last seen buzzing a certain hilly area in Thessalonikh and blowing leaves off trees in the hands of a nutter who comes from Greece but lives in the UK :icon_lol:

so far done on the -51B... redrawn lines, redrawn 75% of the rivets.... still a loooong way to go yet though :kilroy: back to my shed before Nigel turns up :icon_lol:

Strangely enough I've got almost as many 'stangs as I do Spits. Warbirdsim, FDG2, Sky Unlimited, Wozza, A2A, etc. The great Anglo American fighter, can't argue against it's attraction, just not quite up to Spit beauty standards, but almost

So game-on on those paints, looking forward to them.

Jamie

yeah them warbirds have some real nice lines, i mean case in point your DH Type 88 looks much like it's Brother, the mighty DH Type 89 (my all-time Favourite Aircraft) so keep the paints up, even if you have to do a fictional 'race series', way i do them things is to look at the international racing colours... Racing Green - UK, Modena Red - Italy (Ferraris House colour incidentally being Yellow), France - Blue, Germany - Silver or White etc.... here ya go for what i mean: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_international_auto_racing_colors

Should give you food for thought, i know the -51B will likely get some international Motorsport colours :icon_lol:

Strangely enough I've been working on some fictional racing schemes. Started with the home nations, will post some pics soon. With your surname, you may be interested in one.

Jamie

well 'Wynn' by name Win by nature... but just in case to confuse you even further... it's not the name i use most often lol, that'd be 'Ματθαίος Στέφανος' a technicality that moves my middle name, to my surname :icon_lol: just cuz' i can :greece::salute:

Thanks for the link, I was planning on doing some fictional race schemes based on Nationality, will come in very handy. Grecian was planned next for You and Nigey babes.

Your so right, I am confused, lol. I only did the 'Welsh' scheme in your honour, No idea how to pronounce most 'Welsh' but the Greek, yowzers!!

Oh well the Red Dragon flies anyway, thanks to you, regardless of reason.

Jamie

Luftwaffe colour schemes aren't the only "nightmares". As was mentioned earlier, what was supposed to go on and what actually went on, was anybodies guess - if the paints weren't the same batch, there could be a different hue, and most of the time they used what they could get - The Seattle FW190A5 being a case in point.
I've got photo's of a line up of RNZAF Corsairs in the pacific - every plane is different, from new, to faded factory, to 3 different repaint schemes with field applied finishes and one plane being 2 different schemes at a fuselage joint line using 2 different aircraft as an in-field repair.
I think the idea is "does it look right"..."does it feel right".......do it!
