Roxy Music...
Great band, for a while...then became too "pop" for my tastes. Various offshoots from this band include "801", which was basically RM without Brian Ferry, and launched the very successful career of Brian Eno, who not only is a really good musician, but is also an excellent producer for such bands as U2.

Thanks paiken for the info on "801", I like this cover of the Beatle's "Tomorrow Never Knows". I'll need to explore them some more.

And this one....I had Brian Eno's "Another Green World" on a vinyl LP back in the day. That has "Sombre Reptiles" on it. It was all over my head at the time. I was more into the singles bar scene so I could lumber up and limbo down 'cause love was the drug I was thinking of. In other words, I was a total ass but I'm thinking a lovable one.
