M/s corsair skins

It kills me that so many of the F4U-1A Corsair skins are star and bar insignia. I'd sure like to see a nice assortment of skins with pre-43 and 43 red borders. (Of course, it's possible I've just not located any that exist ... so I'll take any kind of direction I can get).

I was wondering if someone who paints could make a simple(?) overlay that would have the correct, earlier insignia?

There I go again ... making more work for some other member!

Well...

I'm using these Frankensteins for the DB Corsair...

that started as cobrauk's fine work.


...but I just got done tuning-up the -1 FDG2 bird so it's ready for some earlier stuff.

(I hope RobH does an early '43 VMF-124 #13 Kenneth Walsh for us...)
