Macchi C.202 Service/Expansion Pack 1

WOW!, lots of new skins, and the cockpit work is very nice! Just took one of the early C.202 versions for a spin around the airstrip... fast, responsive, agile, just like a Lambourghini! :italy: Landings are an experience for the inexperienced. Takes a steady hand -- otherwise, you go bouncing down the runway like a "superball".:greenbo: lol!. (Remember those?)

Thanks again, Manuele! Beautifully done, my friend.

Navtech, you should have the first package installed. when you install the expansion pack as described shared textures should be in the "AerMacchi C.202 FOLGORE MVG_COMMON FILES" folder. (The folder from the original package merges with the folder with the same name from the expansion package).

Cheers,
Huub

Hello SOLOBO. I second your comments.

The entire package is a magnificent achievement by a very dedicated and talented team.
Thank you all.

Indeed :)
My mistake was to erase the common texture folder after I installed (custom install ...time ago) the first package (completely forget this) ...
So .. I reinstalled the common texture folder of first package .. and all run well :jump:

Hello John, hello all, however, be careful with the brakes, the back can be broken easily without some correction...

She's a beauty and I really love the way she flies. Thanks a lot for this new version, Manuele ! :ernae:

Hi Daube, nice shots :applause: !!! I confirm, she flies well...

But if I see blades of grass and flowers, it means that it is FSX ? :icon_lol:

Exact, this is the Bowerman airfield, which is also covered by the freeware OrbX PNW demo area.
Just like the original version of the plane, one just needs to correct the transparency problems with the canopy and prop, then the plane displays normally. What is exceptionnal with Manuele's recent creations is that they display also with the "DirectX 10 Preview" option enabled. Most of FS9 planes don't work with that mode, but Manuele's c-202 and CR-42 display just fine.

I have installed a fresh copy of the original in a temporary folder, then applied the expansion pack as per instructions, but have noticed one anomaly so far. The file "C202_pieces_t.bmp" is not in every texture folder. Should it be? Another possible anomaly (not yet confirmed as I'm on the road and only have ACM2.5 to view the files) is that the venturi tube under the fuselage does not seem to be included in textures.

I apologize in advance if dummy that I am, I have missed something...

Matt that's correct. There are two version of the "C202_pieces_t.bmp" one contains the textures for the Breda propeller and the other version contains textures fot the Piaggo propeller. When you install according the read me file "WITHOUT OVERWRITING WHEN REQUESTED" you will have the correct propeller texture for all versions.

I hope the above makes some sense. And when you are a dummy, I am one as well as I had the same question when I installed the beta version....

Cheers,
Huub

There are some texture directories that don't contain the file at all, either version....

EDIT: Went back and installed it again, and all looks like it should. I MUST have missed something in the previous installs. The most difficult expansion I have ever installed, but it was well worth it. FANTASTIC! I can hardly wait to get home and actually fly it. Now, the wait for the C.205!!!

EDIT2: Now that I have double checked my install in a temp directory, I have repackaged it all to avoid this problem again, lolol.

Hurricane91, Manuele, thank's well... I'm not serious:icon_lol:, the aircraft flies too low during the passes, it is not very realistic... (LOL)... Any way, it's for the FUN...

Manuele, Huub, the team, this great work inspired me to realize a small clip showing this magnificent flying machine... :medals:... Very beautiful Pack !!
