Oh, yes!
Bonjour François!
I know you knew......
It was meant more to keep Manuele Villa (MVG3d) assured I keep a vigil eye on the whole project. He's rightly very precise about the conversion of his FS9 works and he possesses the most extensive knowledge about Regia Aeronautica that I ever known before starting being in touch with him.
Members of the Villa's family were actually involved in development and maintenance of Italian aircraft during WWII, and Manuele, when he was still residing in Italy, wrote articles for the top aviation magazine published in this country. His aviation history knowledge goes from the early pioneers to present time drones era.
Truly, and I am saying it for everybody here, Manuele ranks among the most knowledgeable SOH members we have here. This conversion project will gift all of us with the most important models of the Aeronautica Macchi/Castoldi (the name of Aermacchi's chief designer) 202 Folgore production runs during WWII.
If you send your complete dp work to my e-mail address, I will include it as an alternative choice for the "What if" lovers, thank you. As far as the "official" dp, deriving from Manuele's comprehensive creations, shall be strictly historical to respect Manuele Villa's wishes, to which I agree with 100%.
Right! Now you're talking like a true combat sim aficionado!....
A little suggestion, that you might know very well already: if you raise slightly your gunsight convergence point in the panel.cfg, you will get a very nice high deflection shooting compensation factor.

DAVE:
I am going to ask Mario, via PM, to match the original MDLS with his conversion filenames. I think I got them all, but I want solid evidence I am matching the correct skins to the right models. It beats me why this change of names...
I propose to restore the original MDL filenames in the conversion pack: what do you think?
I learned more about the three original FS9 packs yesterday:
C202_v01.zip: it contains mid-production models from series 7 through series 9;
C202_EP1.zip: it contains earlier, series 3 production runs, plus corrections and an additional repaint for the previous v.01 release;
C202_EP2.zip: it contains later, series 12-13 production runs.
Cheers!
