Macchi M.5

Ready for rigging, paint etc.

Progress is moving along, lots to do yet.

One thing I have not been able to figure out a fix for though. As the Macchi M5 sits low in the water, the surface level goes higher than the cockpit floor as the plane bobs up and down. As it does, the water covers the cockpit floor. :dizzy:

Beautiful work Kurt - Stephan and Martin encountered the same waterlogging effect with the FBA-C. The temporary solution was to carry a bucket on board.

Looking great Kurt. As Kevin said, this little glitch showed up with the FBA-C. As long as you don't sink, my solution was not to look down:sentimental:.

Are you doing a livery for the Yale unit?

Hi CK,
That looks good, always like a waterborne ac!

Yes, unfortunately FS water doesn't recognise barriers, the same with ships, scenery etc. If it's a bother, what I tend to do is to make the floor of the ac/cockpit higher than they are realistically, you still may not stop the water being seen, but can reduce the effect.

Cheers

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Aircraft - World War I

Great, thank you!!! :redfire:

Any chance one of your next projects will be a Hansa-Brandenburg W.18? :bee:

It would be interesting but not possible, unless you have any decent 3 view plans and good references for a W.18 to work from. I don't have any and would need them to make a model.

Many thanks Captain Kurt, a beautifull plane, she remembers me Miyazaki's "Porco Rosso" ambiences.:applause:

Cheers

Lovely work Kurt. Many thanks. Difficult to find USN liveries for this impressive plane but I'm still looking.
