Mad Catz Combat Pilot

SOH-CM-2024
In the A2A August video, they show some planes they are creating for the upcoming Mad Catz Combat Pilot multiplayer suite, so my curiosity was raised and went over to this site: http://combatpilotseries.com/

'FLIGHT TRAINING OPERATIONS, (“FTO”) is the first installment in the exciting new online multiplayer series – Combat Pilot. FTO represents the first step towards the goal of flying strike, carrier strike or other combat missions with your wingmen, squadron, and online community. Built on dedicated servers with a custom multiplayer engine.'

Haven't read everything yet but it sounds exciting, and it is FSX based (strange no one else mentioned it on this forum). Besides A2A, also other developers like IRIS and RAZBAM will build FSX aircraft for use in the Combat Pilot MP environment. Something to keep a close watch on I guess, anyone who thought FSX is nearly dead might be wrong if this takes off.

You need to register a call sign, which I have already done, I managed to register "Biggles" before anyone else got it, I'm quite chuffed about that!

Mentioned on other forums and surprised not much notice here. Difficult from for myself, having been a member of pure military based VA's for 10 yrs now and never had to pay to play, the monthly rate, while not much, does raise question of what am I paying for??? The 3 aircraft look great, although I spend many hours in other developers versions by now, so the models are out there. I hope the learning structure follows some form of military flight training syllabus, and quite honestly should be tough, or at least a happy medium.

I'm mildly interested because of A2A involvement but I really don't need/want another monthly Bill.
