Thank you Bob! It's a beautiful repaint. It really honors your great talents, Bill's great Addon, and MAF, a great bunch of pilots who are assisting and doing wonderful missions work all over this planet 24/7.

:applause:Way Way Way too cool, Mr. "BananaBob." :applause:

I thought that this was especially awesome... :medals:

it's interesting, if you think about it. the excellent model has inspired many cool paints so far, and the paints have also attracted alot of attention as well. to a plane that was created to further missions. quite alot of people now know who maf is, and why the kodiak exists, who might not have otherwise. who knows? maybe the next time someone decides to give to a worthy cause they'll choose maf next time.

Thanks guys, and yep, this made me aware of MAF too. :ernae:

I knew about MAF from the days I was a teenager, wanting to become a pilot and was deciding wheather to go for training through the Military or do it the GA route through Moody Bible Institute. Guess which way I ended up doing? :kilroy:

BTW: I get support mail from them even now.:engel016:

About PK-MPO:

PK-MPO is presently serving in Papua, Indonesia (not Papua New Guinea). This plane is open for adoption and details can be found via the following link.

According to my understanding, MAF will be sending a Kodiak to Papua later.

About the FSX Cessna 206 Stationair:

This plane is from Carenado. As usual, Carenado prefers old-style avionics so I swapped out an antique radio with the Garmin 430, changed to an AP with more functions and used a Sandel EHSI in place of some old steam gauge.

The MAF repaint is from

:wavey: Hey Bill "Lionheart",

A feedback. I don't know if the behavior is real for a Kodiak, but I find it having to maintain very high AOA on slow finals. Any chance to retune it? By the way, I'm using the 2.4b.

wombat that was awesome what you did to the carenado stationare! i wish i had the talents and resources to do that too. what are you using for sound?

???? hey can someone answer a couple of questions for me????

i installed a few of the maf kodiaks (not all of them) but somehow got no thumbnails. which files are those, and where do i put them?

I kept the sound provided by Carenado. I think Turbine Sound Studios made a more realistic one, but for FS9 only (no sound cones).

To change out the avionics, I use the gauge swap function in the FS Panel Studio software. The Garmin 430 and Bendix KAP 140 are made by Friendly Panels. The Sandel SN3308 is from another plane I own, the Australian Simulation Glasair III. I get a real kick out of swapping avionics around, which is why I hate those gauges that are locked to a particular aircraft.

To get the Kodiak thumbnails, you have to copy the JPG files provided by Bob (those that are outside the texture folder) to your Kodiak main directory (again, outside the texture folders).
