Magnum p.i.

This is the one, and only, repaint I bothered to install on the Nemeth bird after I installed it. Great for short hops between Dillingham X and Kalaupapa Hawaii X.

Coolz..Brought bak memories of my fav show and my first addon beers ago..It was for the defunct Lago scenery enhancer thing..but I had more fun than ever making the scenery Hawaii05.zip for avsim and surclaro... Note the doberman dogs were lago default...The cooler part--see the barbeque grill? That was actually a lago default water tower scaled down in FSC enhancer.. cool or what? I even had an effect smoke coming outta that thing...A great guy (Bjorn Buchner) from Brazil I think...gave me permission to use his outstanding Hughes helo with another guys repaint of TC,s Island hopper

Perhaps an interesting aside. I was watching a rerun of Magnum PI and noted the N-number of the helicopter. Immediately got on the FAA N-number registry search and unfortunately did not find a match. I know that frame life for helicopters isn't that long. I recall speaking to an A&P that even a low performance Ryan R22 has to be sent to the factory for a complete A-Z rebuild after only 2,000 hours.

Wonder if anyone can confirm that the helicopter is no longer flying?

They had several different ones for the series, Ken
They used 369D's, MD500C's and D's as well.

If it was N4943T, it was lost about two weeks after the series ended. :kilroy:

Can't remember the N number, just that it didn't come up. But it makes sense that was the one.
