Malta Scenery & stuff by Bruno?

Jaxon

virtually there
Hi all :wavey:,

it has been a long time I ran CFS2.
I did not loose interest, I was only more interested in other things :jump:
A new old car to repair, some models I was working on and of course so less time due to the job.
Well, you all have more or less the same problems, so I stop whining.

No matter, how high on the priority list - I am always interested in WW2 stuff, especially from the MTO!

I just came back from a magnificient holiday on Malta. One week to explore the island & the more silent Gozo. Perfect weather, the deepest blue water, I have ever seen and a view from the hotel over the silhouette of Valletta.

WW2 is a big mark in the history of the island, especially because King George VI awarded the Maltesian People the Georges Cross for their bravery during the Second Siege of Malta in WW2, which is now part of their flag!
Some places to visit there, and I could convince my female counterpart to visit at least the most interesting:

- War Museum at Valetta / Fort St. Elmo - presenting the last existing of the famous Gladiators, named "Faith"
- Malta Aviation Museum at Ta`Qali with a Spit and a Hurricane beside other stuff.
-The war rooms deep under Valletta, where the HQ was hidden and the defense of the island organised (and later the Sicily Invasion).

Conclusion: Malta is a melting pot of influences of the whole Mediterranean Sea combined with enormous history. Even oldest manmade temples, ca. 3600 BC are to find there!
If you consider to visit anything in the MTO, make Malta part of your tour!

Of course I want to use my CFS2 stuff now again. I have downloaded probably all Bruno had released 1 or 2 years back. I can`t find his site anymore, when looking for updates. Can you please tell me about the latest development here?

Futher I am interested in others work too, of course. For example the Pedestal campaign, for which I have more than one version downloaded over the time.

Many thanks in advance!

Looking forward to extend my holiday virtually in the CFS2 world.

Jaxon,

Welcome back! You seem to be the latest in a string of those who are "coming home or re-visiting" CFS2. Not only is Bruno's Malta spectacular, (look in the old library under Brunosk / bsk) but have a look at the Gibraltar by Jean Bomber. It is truly the equal of Brunosk's Malta in many ways.

I did an update of Pedestal a while ago (click on the link in my signature) but it's due for another overhaul. Right now, I'm in the midst of "Operation Frantic," and I still have a Mediterranean Beaufighter campaign in the works.

Rami, many thanks!

I will take a look. Wasn`t Bruno working on another plane yet to be released?

Jaxon,

Yeah...an Empire-class flying boat. Haven't heard from the master in a while though, hopefully this will perk him up.
