Manfredc3, Rookie started his LM adventure.

Good to see that you have made it out of France without further ado.

You might note that Miss Nellie and the gentlemen at the RAeC were able to smooth over matters having to do with your Paris stop. And the adjustment to your timing. (Post #40 at 119 Piccadilly.)

Thanks so much for all the effort, Mike and staff.
I was already wondering why those gendarmery were laughing at me and raising their wine bottles. Now I know why I only had a few boxes left after returning to the plane.

Kudo's to the french mechanics though, for being able to get my plane airworthy overnight. They told me they only did it because they rarely get to work on such an iconic bird.

The message of my mishap must have travelled fast, as eyes were constantly following me, and the pointing fingers got me nervous. For that, I am glad I made it out of there.

Thanks again for preventing middle aged jail time.

Made it to LGTT without any issues.
Left LIRU in a thunderstorm, but the rest of the flight the weather was nice (for a change!)

I did have to climb to 13.500 to ross the mountains, and to prevent my pilots licence being revoked.

Now I'm ready for some Ouzo.

Now let's get that tractor to put my baby in the hanger. Don't want it out in the open any longer than absolutely necessary.

I did have an amazing sunrise view:

Heheh, cool that you experienced an engine out after switching tanks. Serves you right not to **** :a1089:
What is also cool, is an engine out, loss of hydraulic power, having to switch to the manual hydraulic pump, start pumping to get the gear and flaps down, and just in time have locked gear to make a safe landing.
And don't forget to feather your props.
All modeled in our DC2.

Cheers, Rob.

Departed from OR1A. (Get me outta here, PLEASE!) :running:.
Heading for OIBB, Persia..... Oh no that is Iran.
Heading out of the rain in to a thunderstorm???

ETA: 18:00

Didn't feel safe in Bushehr,, so decided to get up early and make my way to Jask

Departure: OIBB-OIZJ
ETA:09:30am

It was a boring flight. Thanks to my stewardess, who brought a thermos w strong coffee I was able to keep my eyes open. All that sand looks the same wherever you look.

Make it to Jask. Since one of my gauges died during flight I will have to stay here for an additional day to get that fixed.

Note the ruling from 119 Piccadilly (post #58) on the LIRU-LGTT leg. No worries.

Excellent adventure here. Looking forward to more stories.

Gauge is repaired (at least that is what I was able to make out of the hand signs from the Iranian technician. Took them way longer than expected, but I didn't feel safe staying another night.

I made sure that Stue, my stewardess had another strong cup of coffee on bourd (hopefully not too spiked).Os we should be goog to go.

Posting this message I got the following error:
departure notification error.jpg

Will have to post again.

Departing OIZJ to arrive at OPSF, ETA 10:30pm.

New attempt to get from OZIJ to OPSF. I just hope those Iranian tecnicians know what they were doing.

ETA: 10:30am.

Well, I am on my way and everything finally seems to be working fine.

Mike, Thanks for the heads up. I have been checking my mailbox everyday, as I had a gut feeling that the altitude issue was going to bite me in the butt as some time. Thanks to Miss Nellie's leniency I was not dragged back by m hair.

But after my crash just now, She might not like me that much anymore. Just hope she will not come after me with a stick. You might want to put a helmet on before entering her office next time.

Now let me get focussed on brining my beloved lady safely to OPSF.

Ready to depart Karachi. The Pakistani were very friendly. Certainly a different experience than my previous two stops.

Let's hopo my dear old lady get's me there safe again.

OPSF - VIJO
