You guys are just teasing us now aren't you;-) Probably be shot down with someone's Browning just about now, but is there any kind of timeline for release? I'm going away and just wondered if I'll see it first.

Hmmm ditto here. I would love to make my first repaint on that C-47. It's a C-47 called "Margie" stationed at the Solomons (probably Munda), beautifully worn out and weathered.

Is it possible to integrate the old steam gauge VC, by the way? Mind you, I like that awesome new VC, it looks great, but on historical missions I'd love the steamy one.

Cheers,
Mark

Looks like I've got to paint airplanes and work the door too. It's just me this week, MJ had to take a bit of time for himself and JanKees is traveling. TuFun is lurking about, but busy in the sound lab. MJ team is working on the code too.

Mark, last time I talked to MJ he indicated that he is looking at the vintage cockpit. Not sure where that's at, he has been incommunicado for a few days.

I had a request for leather seats. It's been on the list so I did those for you ladies and gents. Have a look. I'm still refining, but I'm pretty close.

That cockpit paintwork is MAG-NI-FI-CIENT :icon_eek: :pop4:
And the textures shown by TuFun are just incredible.
You guys are turning my holidays into a nightmare :blind:

(holidays = away from gaming computer ;) )

That's looking like a well used aircraft!

I should probably do a set of newer looking leather seats...keep the options open. I've looked at a bunch of cockpit photos and it seems that almost anything would have been seen in the DAK at one time or another. The Lineas Aereas Canedo C-117 actually has a polished wood instrument panel.

My favorite aspect of the DAK is that she is so versatile and her history is so colorful that the texture options are almost endless.

Oh man Deacon, love the Albany Night Boat. You talented painters, I second the request for this beauty. Come on Jan or Huub or Gman, anyone!!

I've been chained to the cockpit for a while, but been kind of needing to do a basic military skin for the DAK.

I'll have a go at Albany Night Boat if we can get some references, nose art, numbers you know the drill.

Don't tell JK...he's off traveling and enjoying himself while I work my fingers to the bone.
I'll also dig and see what reference materials I can dredge up.

For everyone who wants to keep the original MJ C-47, the new bumps and metal skin enhancements will drag and drop into your textures folder in the MJ C-47 base folder. The paint kit is interchangeable with all MJ C-47s.

These two screens are not my paints. This is an example of an earlier MJ C-47 paint with the new drag and drop mods.
No tweaks...unretouched.

Looks great Gman. I will pm John Terrell to see if he can find some pics of Albany Night Boat. He has great reference material. Back soon I hope.

Right up my alley. Excellent Work, GMAN!

Cheers,
Mark

Thanks Mark, I kind of left the skins for everyone else, but I couldn't resist doing one for posterity.

Hey, I've been cross referencing the different cockpits....old MJ C-47, new beta model and skins while MJ is offline. If the old default DC-3 cockpit is adequate, that can be aliased to the beta I'm working with. The cool startup doesn't work, but the look is more to your taste. I only had to tweak the viewpoints a bit to synch everything in with the EZ Dok.
