Request For gman5250

Hello, first I would like to express my gratitude to gman5250 and all painters that are creating these beautiful paint schemes. Sir, I hope you would consider creating an U.S. Navy NATS C-47 in seablue/gray and Marine Corps SCAT C-47 (Marine Corps version of olive drab, closer to a forrest green ). To my knowledge neither has ever been done. The European D-Day invasion paint schemes seem to be plentiful while the pacific war area C-47's have always been underrepresented. Appreciate your time and have a good day, sir.
 
I hafta ask, will there be a civilian (DC-3) model for the upcoming C-47 release? Some of these repaints are all awesome but I'm pretty sure the civilian models didn't have that little dome thingy on the roof. Some of the old passenger DC-3 classic livery's just don't seem right on a C-47 or a C-117D. Am I being too picky? :icon_eek:

Sorry I missed the post...I've been down the black hole moving into the new computer and putting the last touches on the DAK skins for release. Let me dig a bit for resource material and I'll bump you back on these skins. I'll also check with JanKees and Kitten to see that we don't replicate skins. Thanks for the thanks...your are welcome sir. :salute:
 
I really hope we have this in time for the DC-3 World Rally 2013! Am dying to get to grips with her!

edit: that's 2013, not 14, though the same comment applies albeit with a little less urgency! ;)
 
No cargo door on DC-3

A more important reason for a unique DC-3 model is that it did not normally (major carriers in the US) have a cargo door.

Update: I've uploaded my texture paks and paint kits for the Manfred Jahn C-117 Skytrooper and C-47 Skytrain version 2 official releases. Look for aircraft to be released within 24 hours.

The texture paks are simple drag and drop additions to the basic aircraft file. I've given you a few basic un-decaled skins in metal, gray and two tone along with a few classics. The rest of the crew have skins waiting in the wings.

Feel free to download my skins and PK and get the decks cleared for launch. Here she comes gents...and ladies.

The NZ Warbirds DC-3 is (I think) a converted C-47 - and the seating/windows arrangement is different, as is the [lack of] freight door. This is as near as I could get it.

Thanks!!! I had my arm twisted slightly to do this repaint, but I really enjoyed doing it. I love the Warbirds Dak - and have seen it many times (even had a short flight in it). It really is a stunningly beautiful aircraft - immaculately restored but most importantly *still flying*.

I'd better hurry up and upload it to OzX ... will add the link here when it gets approved!

Jan - didn't you do the NAC one as well?

I seem to remember you did this NZWarbirds repaint for the MAAM Sim Cargo version a while back - so I expect it all looks rather familiar!

I don't know how you manage to do them do so fast - I seem *very* slow! Maybe I'm too old for this game LOL!
