• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

Your new textures are really great gman! But again I hope Manfred will do a version with the old instruments as well.

Now...how do I find a way to convey the smell avgas, oil and old upholstery???
No worries mate, there is a dispenser of Purell hand sanitizers on the bulkhead wall aft of the captain's seat.

I'm only investing a certain amount of time into this beta cockpit until I know the answer to that question too. If we get a period accurate panel, I'll give that one an appropriate level of TLC.

All I can say is AWESOME! BUT, that word does not even begin to describe your work. I thought it was a photo at first glance.
 
Update photos. Fine tuning the cockpit art, paint chips, screws, added sound padding and fine tuned the upholstery wear.
I'll probably do a set of leather seats too.

Note: These shots show the updated console with corrected controls, removed badges etc. The basic look is pretty complete. If gauge locations change for the release model, I can make the mods without compromising the basic art. This ain't bad for a freebie.

Man-oh-man, GMan, that Dak office is looking downright superb. Combined with what you've done to the externals, this is gonna be one bee-yoo-tee-ful aerodyne!

Gman I can see myself spending many, many hours in that cockpit, wonderful work indeed.
This will be the release of the year for 2013.

Thank you gentlemen. I'm just laying the foundation for everyone else, but thank you for your kindness.

Manfred has provided a stunning model, both visually and technically. The flight dynamics are rock solid, the model is very well constructed and the team effort speaks for itself. TuFun has provided an absolutely awesome sound set, Jan Kees is working on a set of skins and Manfred is ironing out the last details.

The model as offered will be one of the most comprehensive I have seen to date. The paint kit has everything anyone would need to create high def textures, and as this aircraft is one of the most beloved and numerous ever to see the skies, there will be no shortage of quality skins to follow the release of the freeware.

"The best of 2013"...that's quite a remarkable compliment, but I think the old girl is well worth the luv. :salute:
 
C 118 next?

After this one is released, it would be nice to see Jan model the C-118 with same stunning details as this project and with Tufuns startup, this time four engines belching smoke and fire
now that would be another radial winner. Just a pipe dream for now. :icon_lol:
