I am now 3/4 done with my home airport - Eastern West Virginia Regional (KMRB), Martinsburg, WV. Although the airport is primarily civilian it is also home to the 167th Airlift Wing of the West Virginia Air National Guard. The 167th Airlift Wing currently has 8 C-5 Galaxies and 4 C130s based on campus. Hope to release it this month.

30/15cm/pixel, voluminous grass, custom objs, etc.

Thanks for the compliments, Sundog, Bill, Ted and Warrant. Still a little bit more on the military side of the field before final release. In case any of you living within the region might be interested, the airport will host its annual open house and airshow, dubbed "Thunder over the Blue Ridge" this weekend (4-5 Sept). The USAF's Thunderbirds and Army's Golden Knights will be featured, amongst the usual fly-bys/aerial demonstartion by C-5 galaxies and civilian talents.:salute:

Magnificently done!

It is obvious you have put a great deal of effort into the making of this scenery. Outstanding!!!

Nice job!! It wasn't until a few years ago that the biggest airplane that could go in there was the Mighty Hercules. Now I think they've got 8 C-5s based there.

Thanks for the kind comments, folks. @ Railrunner130, the 167th Airlift Wing has phased out all 8 c130s and acquired 11 C-5s. Current figures are from the Airport Manager and military personnel at the base. This is a correction to my post above wherein I incorrectly mentioned that they have 8 C-5s and 4 hercs. But you're correct that until recently only C130s made use of the old 7000ft rwy. The newly commissioned 9000ft rwy now caters for the 11 C-5s although there's more expansion work going on at the airport. Current work at the field is replicated in the sim as well.:salute:

Now this is going to be one great addon. I am using LCSims one meter mesh for WV and it does an amazing job, and this is going to be a very interesting piece of work. Very talented, hope it won't be long, Keep up the great work.

Two meter mesh, Don. Only two meters.:icon_lol:

Best I recall, the area around Martinsburg was fairly level, so there shouldn't be any type of conflict with the airport area. If there is? I'll have to work up a patch! :salute:

Wantok, airport looks terrific. If I can land a job soon, will have to see about adding it to the WV work I did.

Huh? ...didn't know there is a WV mesh out there. Would be happy to purchase it for comparison- sake; and perhaps add more WV airports in the future.
