MAW Global

swpierce

SOH-CM-2025
I add an airbase to the global_layer.csv file in MAW and make the gsl file using the make_gsl.bat. I have done this many times in ETO and PTO with no issues. However in MAW the airbase does not appear and the aircraft takeoff that I have entered into a mission occurs at another nearby base. When I re-open the global_layer.csv file the base that I entered has been completely erased (or maybe the file has been replaced with the original version). Does anybody know what is happening and if there is a way to add to the existing global layer in MAW?

A few possibilities...

Have you checked that there's no copies of the .csv anywhere in the install?

Have you checked the .csv after running the gsl tool but before running MAW? Maybe it's not saving correctly.

If that's ok you could try making the file read-only after you've edited it.

Other than that, no idea, seems a strange one!

I did search for other global_layer.csv files inside the MAW folder and there were none. I will check the file again after saving and after running the make_gsl.bat. I will also try the read-only save.
Thanks for the suggestions.
Indeed it is a strange one. I am simply adding a regular "airbase,single,1" at a new location and MAW is the only install that is not allowing this to happen.
