• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Gentlemen
I decided after some time to install MAW and give it a try, but ran into the proverbial Bf-110 texture file problem.
I tried renistalling, but to no avail. Any help?

The file is part of the 15 zip files I downloaded from the aussiex site. I do not think I can use an individual file. There is something missing in this file and will not allow me to complete the install.

highpockets I checked my maw install and I have your missing file, if you pm your email I will send it to you.
 
It's not a missing file, it's a corrupt download. Download one file after another and try if the error comes up again. There was also a checksum somewhere to check the files for their integrity, don't know if it's still around....
 
I tried downloading three separate times and the same result. What the heck is a checksum?? How do you use it if it could be found?
 
I did downlaod from the SOH Aussiex site and am updated with the CFS 3.1 I may try to download again and install.

Then I may ask someone for a DVD :kilroy:

Still no MAW happiness

OK guys. I am ready to surrender. I reinstalled CFS 3 and updated it, tried to install files from the SOH site and still get --

Anyone will to send me a DVD??

I have files that i got from the old MAW site several years ago, and am installing now, for the first time, if they work i may be able to send you this set. let me see if it works.

I have the 1.3 version and also the installer update from 1.2 also if anyone needs that.

We will see how it goes. The new B 25 with the great desert skins got me excited.

it is only barely 5 MB and could be shared easily in an e mail. hopefully some kind soul will help out.
 
A member here very kindly sent me the texture and the entire plane file for that plane from his install and i copied it in and replaced the existing file which was indeed missing that high rez file. but now the installer says it is damaged or it cant read it...same error. sigh.

I guess from seeing a similar post about this same error from another person, this is something that has happened before. I guess our only hope is to find a kind soul who will copy their entire install, but i dont have any idea why this happening. Does anyone have any ideas? i have no idea which of the 15 download packaged files is causing the error. I note that this plane is a creation of the MAW crew and is not in the defalt install, so it is installed by the first installer that sets up the files. Any ideas anyone? I do hope to see MAW in action but so far, no joy.

thanks highpockets it would make a big diff. I am sure as I tryed eight times to put it in the outher way,sky pilot:jump:
 
Hi Pockets...you said you updated your CFS3 to 3.1 but did you update to 3.1a ? Also you need to have the CFS 3 mission builder installed before you try to install MAW... I did find a discrepancy in the file size posted here and the one listed in the MAW word Doc....see my other post,complete with pictures. I wont install until the question of mismatched file sizes in my other post is resolved.
