ok this is what ive done : i it was crashin' to desktop / i deleted the uisel.xml now it reset and shows the stock cfs3 p47 and when i try 2 change the aircraft and run free flight it says mission file cant load / PLEASE HELP ' is an another file that was reset or something ????

You can't start MAW with the stock P-47, or at the initial start airfield - don't ask why, but it's in the manual somewhere.

Go into your missions folder and locate the frontend.xml file. Open it with Windows Notepad, and check to see what it says.

You'll see it names an airfield, and a fighter aircraft. Carefully change the fighter - it will probably say p-47d_25, which isn't right for MAW. Choose one of the DR aircraft instead, doesn't matter which. Default should be dr_mc200_vosilla and airfield ita014.

If this helps you get it open again, don't click "fly" without changing to another airfield.

That may help - not quite sure what's gone wrong...

Have you checked the entry in MultiCFS3.exe to make sure it isn't referring to your main CFS install? Just a thought...

ok i checked that file everything looks in order / when i try'd 2 start maw / it didnt have the stock cfs 3 p47 /had a hurricane on there i must choose that before it said mission file couldnt load maybe when i restarted my system in must of fix'd it ..... "WERID" thks 4 the help ........ :salute:

If you get a flickering black screen with "Mission file can't load" or some such when you load the sim, then one of two things has happened:

1. You deleted or invalidated the aircraft you were flying last in QC, and as it reloads you last QC aircraft on launch, it gets stuck.

2. Your "frontend.xml" file is invalid. This can be remade easily in Mission Builder and then hand-edited to fit; besically, as you can see from my last post, it's nothing more than a mini-mission file. You can change the aircraft, airfield, weather and time to suit your own taste.

As far as I know, these are the only two circumstances where you get the "Mission file failed..." screen.
