your are not missing anything, I've just placed the wrong facilities in the package: LBS_infantry_Brit_Afr.xml & LBS_infantry_Ger_Afr.xml instead of LBS_infantry_HQ_Brit_Afr.xml & LBS_infantry_HQ_Ger_Afr.xml .... sorry.... :isadizzy:

What you can do is rename:
LBS_infantry_Brit_Afr.xml -> LBS_infantry_HQ_Brit_Afr.xml
LBS_infantry_Ger_Afr.xml -> LBS_infantry_HQ_Ger_Afr.xml

I'll upload the missing facilities.

Another mystery of the unexplained

I've got these missions all loaded up, complete with the missing utilities.
Here's a puzzle: If I try to fly the last mission (night-fighter escort) as the first when opening the game, I get a ctd.

If I open ANY other mission first, it will load properly and I can go get 'em (or vice versa...)

Just me? Or has anyone else seen this curiosity.

Neat missions, and I can fly them by using my workaround, but it is a bit odd.

I can't explain this strange thing as all missions all use the same facilities, aircrafts and vehicules.

More of the puzzle

I think it's the AV spitfire. By way of troubleshooting, I changed the plane in the mission file and it loaded normally. Put it back and got the ctd again.

Further, I tried a Quick Combat with the AV spitfire and Lo and Behold--a ctd.

So I've re downloaded the Spit from AVH, and reinstalled it, but with no different results.

So the next mystery is why the aircraft is causing trouble on my machine.

I suggest you to have a look at the sound.cfg file.

If it's ok then, check if all pylons and weapons are installed correctly.

I'll give that a try;
I did notice that the pylons files with the download are older than those already installed with MAW.

I'll let you know what I learn.

Bingo!

The sound cfg file was it! It was aliased to a sound file normally found in native CFS3, I think.

So I merely pointed it at the MAW sound files for the Merlin, and away we go!

Thanks for the tips -- I probably would never have even thought to look in the sound file.

Now I can move onto the next mystery, except I don't know what it is yet......
