MAW Props No Props Twin beech

Doesn't really matter which theatre you use it in, same happens in a fairly vanilla installation. I think I remember Clive saying he had some bother with the blurred prop texture, but I may be completely off beam here.

You can have 4 different props on the same engine with their corresponding textures:-
  1. propn_still - the stationary prop and also shown when the engine just starts turning
  2. propn_slow - which is shown when the engine is building up to operating speed
  3. propn_blurred - which is what you see with the engine at operating speed
  4. propn_bent - which is shown when Owen tries landing with the gear still up...
so each time you hit E for automatic engine start, spare a thought for the poor modeller! :mix-smi:

Ah, the light dawns... If I fire up CFS3 (whichever version) and go fly the Beech immediately, the textures don't always show, whereas if I quit and re-fly they do. Blame CFS3 for this, it's not as good at using lots of textures as FS9 and the Beech has a lot of texture files.

In my experience every single time I had prop issues where sometimes it rendered textures appropriately and sometimes it didn't, it was always a problem of with a duplicate texture file of the same name. Whatever mode the prop is in for instance still or moving when it intermittenly dissappears figure out which texture it is using at that time. Then do a search for that file name in your CFS3 main folder and see if you have a different prop file with the same name. If you do find one then you need to go into the aircraft .m3d file and change the name of the duplicate texture file to something else and obviously change the file name itself. If the prop consistently renders the wrong image however it could be problems specificly with the model or with the texture file itself.
