if you PM me your email, I will send you my latest effects.xml for MAW, with AvHistory and most if not all the relevant SJ prefixed aircraft effects (spitfire VII and VIII for MAW, Fulmar, Typhoon, Hudson) and possibly others that I forget.
However, it is possible that you are just missing a muzzle flash .dds texture from the Effects/fxtextures folder, you could try copying all the fxtextures from ETO to MAW, leaving out the theatre-specific ones (sun, corona, flare, h2o, etc). I try to make it easier by removing any of my weather water and sun textures from fxtextures and put them in the Effects/weather folder. In that way I can combine all my fxtextures from various installs and homologate them.
