Well, my video card just took a nose dive a couple of days ago and it may be a while till i can get a replacement,(fixed income). Still will be hanging around though. My Favorite hobby is now put on hold. Been through worse,so all isn't lost. Time to catch up on my aircraft books i've been wanting to read and still have guitar. Boy ! do i miss it already ! what type of card are you looking to get? I am getting ready to build a new machine and may have a card to give away.

Well, My video card just started working again out of the blue ! Cleaned pc and re-seated video card after this and all seems to be well so far. Hope it lasts . What joy ! Back to my favorite hobby ! Regards, Scott
 
Thats great news Scott. I was thinking that your card is not that old, very similar to mine (GTX770), so it shouldn't be failing yet.

Just as a comparison I have a much loved Creative 2ZS Soundblaster card, which is approaching 20 years old and has been through several computers. It has finally had a component fail and I'm having to use a more modern, spindly looking soundblaster without half the features of the old card.
