I hear they made their trees and grass with algorithms. Supposedly a huge undertaking but also supposedly takes less memory.

Those mountains and that dirt trail looked totally real. Very nice sim.
 
we're not that far from seeing this in actual flightsims....

some of the "world game engines" i've seen lately will blow your socks off! (such as zoom in at grass level and pull out into space...all in real-time).

The future for flightsims is gonna be awesome...
