MCx question

I've run a few older aircraft through Model Converter X recently and they seem to come out fine except for an orange blob of glowing light on the external model. I tried deleting every light created in the model but it won't go away. Any ideas?

Thanks,
LouP

That's strange. I'm not what I'd consider any kind of expert in MCX, but I do use it fairly regularly for projects. Can you post a screenshot of the anomaly by chance?

It is probably an attached effect, like a landing light.... which can be removed with McX.

I'll look again but I'm pretty sure I removed all the lights in McX

Thanks guys, found it. It was a built in effect, not a light per se. Now if anyone knows why the rotors on the helicopters aren't turning, I'll be hunky dory. ;-)

If it's a helo from FS2004 (FSX maybe as well), the rotor animation is tied to the the prop animation states. In order for it to appear properly in P3D that animation has to be reassigned to the rotor animations using the animation editor. Which means you'll have to import and merge the 3 rotor animation states in order for the rotors to appear properly. (still, slow, and blurred) just like the prop states for fixed wing propellers.
