MDL Edit help

I am trying to run MDL Edit v1.1a. It assumes CSF2 is installed in C:/Programfiles/MicrosoftGames/CFS2. I don't have my sim located there and get a "path not found" statement with no option to redirect it. Is there a way around this? (I've put in hundreds of addons over six years and this has never happened.)

Ignore that...all you have to do is click ok and it will take you to a dialog box asking you where you want to extract its files to.

The exact wording is "runtime error '76' Path not found". When I click OK it goes nowhere, just disappears. I did move my backup copy of CFS2 to the usual path and tried the mdledit and got the same result. One thing that confuses me a bit is the wording of something like "place it into your game and run it" and by that I thought he meant into the basic CFS2 folder and run it. Still no go no matter where I put the program.

I take it that I need this program to make changes needed to fly online.

No luck yet. I have a feeling it takes more than just mdledit to do the job which is why the missing path message is showing. I also downloaded mk_mdlc and tried to run it. It also would not run but gave me this message:

"The MDLC program by Ivan Hsu was not found. In order to use this software you must have a
copy of the MDLC files installed in the same directory as this mk_mdlc software.

The MDCL program can be downloaded from the addresses below. Search for: mdlc_b85.zip.
Version should be Beta 85 (or newer)."

It also provides some download sites, none of which worked for me. Google search turned up nothing.

If you search here under author 'archisoft' you can pick up the most recent version of MDLC, which is 190.
