Ok I understand Canion
To make the plug-in FSModelExp.dle export the animations you create in Gmax, the animated parts must be named accordingly.
For instance to make a part move with the G keypress, the parts must be named l_gear c_gear or r_gear. The animation must be set to 100 "keyframes". It does not matter if you have more than one part with the same name.
For scenery objects like troopers marching I use the "Tick18" part name, the animation will run at 18 "frames" per second. You can have upto 1024 "keyframes" which equates to a runtime of 56 seconds. At this length of time, the movement becomes somewhat jerky, the shorter the better. The animation must be cyclic so the parts must be in the same possition at the end as at the begining, otherwise there will be a jump.
Maybe this will help, I will attach the Makemdl SDK
Cheers
