Member Map

Well, took me 15 - 20 mins to figger out how th' dang thing works. Finally stopped tryin' ta update things and just picked up the orange thingie with a click, moved it to the general vicinity, then started zooming in and moving appropriately. Got it ta work just fine.

The map is fine, what isn't is the instructions to set it especially for the first time.

 :pop4:

I set mine up without problems yesterday. Sundog lives only a few miles north of me here in Northwest Indiana.

I'm astonished at just how recent the satellite image is for my area! There's some new parking spaces that were just completed less then six months ago in the downtown Hammond area...

The picture prior to today's was at least thirteen years old, since the camera captured me walking up to my garage door so I could park my car, which was obviously just before I installed the overhead door opener.

Thank you Ickie. There now my balloon is over my home of Yellowknife. I need a reminider of my home to mentally cool down. Heat here in Texas is roasting me well done. anyone for roasted Canuk?

Cool, just now realized that there's a satellite view. It looks to be about 4 years old. We fenced in the upper part of the hayfield on the left including the pond for a pasture for the horses last winter so we wouldn't have to rent pasture any more. The house is under the orange balloon and the barn is the silver square in the upper middle. That's an auto salvage yard on the left and our neighbors on the right.

Hum Yellowknife image is about three years old lol. But I see my mom's beaver lol. Guess my dad is borrowing my Twotter now that he's retired.

You should NEVER see your mom's beaver. And never tell anyone if you have. . .

Anyway - the map won't show when I click on the map button. I get this little message at the bottom that says "Done, but with errors on page". No amount of pecking and tapping will bring it up. . .

cg1976, i see a yellow float plane docked at your dock.

That's either my mom's Beaver or Brother's Cessna. My Twin Otter is still in Iqaluit waiting for one of my family members to swing by and take her back to Yellowknife, but I think she is going to be stuck unless Viking takes trades for the new Twin Otter 400:icon_lol: and the USCG or RCAF co signs me a loan.
