As every Memorial Day weekend, TCM (Turner Classic Movies) is showing a nce array of war flicks, some that feature war birds, such is the case right now, playing is The Battle of Britain. Great war bird footage. Check it out if you can.
 
History Channel is showing a marathon run of World War II in HD. It is an excellent first-person series using letters of combat veterans and fortified by about every inch of color video tape of combat actions.

The movies are often good, but nothing beats seeing the real thing and hearing the real words of the men who were there fighting it.

I was watching "World War II in HD" a little while ago. Amazing stuff. Those Tuskegee Airman were awesome.
