• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

My limited skills rendered another livery for the fine Mercator P4M-1 converted by Lazarus. Depicts SN 124365 of Fleet Air Recon Squadron VQ-1. In memory of the 16 crew members who were killed during a mission out of Incirlik, Turkey in January of 1960. After researching operational dates for the P4M-1Q Mercators it appears that many, if not all were deactivated during the year 1960, so it's quite possible that this aircraft was on one of it's last missions before being taken out of operational status.

Excellent! Now we're getting somewhere!
Still grinding away at the misfeatures. All in all, it's one of my fav fliers in the box, along with the C-133 and Marlins.
Working on the Privateer, too. If I can get a steering nose wheel into that, some post-war skins would really make it with the Korean-era sceneries. If I can ever figure out how to do a para-flare that illuminates the ground, we'd be in business for firefly sorties.
Keep en coming!
