Meridian Mods for BPF Close to Complete

KDriver, UncleTgt, Rami, and I have been doing some mods on Meridian missions for the campaign.

I think they are about ready to go live in the next few weeks as soon as they are completely tested.

Rami is putting them together in an auto-installer when they are ready.

I have flown about half of them as single missions.

I will begin them in campaign form this week.

Then, back to finish up BPF Task Force 57 and 37.........

Once I get those finished up, I will package them and send them to my partners in crime and see what we can come up with for a final product.

Lee,

It's been a pleasure working on these, I've been collecting all of the notes, and will go over them in the coming days.

Thanks Buddy!

I appreciate the modifications you do so that the missions are both more playable and interesting.

On a side note, I just finished the first mission for Iceberg II. It is an intercept mission for a rookie CAP of Hellcats.

I've had to downgrade the IJAAF pilots to rookie and upgrade my wingmen to veterans, change the IJAAF to low aggressiveness and my wingmen to high.

The reason? I got my tail burned in the first two attempts on the mission.

Second attempt I stalled in a turn and went for a swim.

I am building these and they are not supposed to be that difficult for the builder...... I think I read that somewhere.....or not. :very_drunk:

Lee,

After church this morning, I'm going to stop by the UPS Store and send you this book today...

https://www.kirkusreviews.com/book-reviews/will-iredale/the-kamikaze-hunters/

It's entirely about the British Pacific Fleet's efforts in the Pacific in Late 1944 and into 1945, and gives detailed accounts on Meridian and Iceberg in the process. The title caught my eye, and as soon as I started leafing through it..."gold mine" came into my head.

(Actually, it gives blow-by-blow information on the FAA Tirpitz raids in Norway as well, which was in the Summer of 1944)

The only caveat is it may require some mission reworking. I won't say why, you'll have to read for yourself. I stayed up several hours last night reading, but I resisted the urge to highlight, scribble, and underline...it is your Christmas present after all. :wiggle:
