Messed up textures

I installed nHancer, and now my ground textures look like this. The airplane textures are just fine, but its only the ground ones that are messed up. I deleted the fsx.cfg file and let it create a new one, but the problem is still there. Thanks ahead of time.

Sorry bud I'm sure somebody here might be able to help you out. From what I read Nhancer is a program for your graphics card correct?
 
Yep. Better aa and anistropic filtering. But I disabled everything in nHancer and it is still doing it. Tried repairing fsx too. Thanks.
 
DX9. Dx10 caused too many problems. It's like everything on the screen has a grain to it, like little spots.
 
Well, a full system restore fixed it. Didn't have to do with nHancer, so any idea what else it was?
 
No, found out it was the wrong settings in nHancer. Now, nHancer isn't doing anything at all.

I just saw this topic, and on your screenshots it appears that the anisotropic texture filtering is disabled.
Texture filtering is a kind of antialiasing for textures => it masks the ugly pixels by performing a nice smooth blur.
Typically, you want the anisotropic filtering to be set at 8x or 16x. If you set it too low, the textures will look blurry. If you set it too high, the textures will be really crisp and clear, that's beautifull be there will also be an impact on the performance of the video card.
 
Actually is was on and set to 16x. When I change it to 8x, it goes away, and still looks good. I guess FSX doesn't like 8x+ filtering.
 
Hmm I don't think so. I have mine set to 16x with no problems at all. Could it be your video card ?
Also, how is the texture filtering set in the sim ? Did you set it to "Anisotropic" ?

that might have been the issue, if its set to bilinear or trilinear it goes all blocky, at least in my experince
 
Video card is a gtx 260 superclocked. nHancer was set to combined 16x, fsx was set to trilinear and unchecked aa.
