Messerschmitt 108 Taifun released!

Mathias

SOH-CM-2024
Ladies and Gentlemen,

the Classics Hangar is proud to announce the release of our latest creation, the Messerschmitt Bf 108 B 'Taifun' for FSX.
Now available for download at the Classics Hangar Shop.
More info, screenshots and a free user manual download at http://www.classics-hangar.de

The Messerschmitt Bf 108 Taifun is arguably one of the most influential aviation designs of it's time that set the benchmark back then and has not been bypassed in performance by most contemporary aircraft in it's class up until today. This iconic piece of aviation history is now avaliable for Microsoft Flight Simulator X as a faithful reproduction of German period aviation technology. All systems and instruments have been recreated based on the oldest flying Messerschmitt aircraft world-wide, the Bf 108 B D-EBFW with it's historically restored VFR panel. Additionally there are seven more paint schemes of historical and currently operable Bf 108 included as well as an alternative panel instrumentation based on the historical blind flying equipment with the addition of some modern Navigation Radios. The Aerodynamics, Stability and Control have been developed based on current real world flight data using the next gereration of AvHistory's Flight Model V 5.00.1 what makes possible a not yet in PC-Simulation experienced organic depth in depicting the fundamental principles of flying through air.

Beautiful pictures at the shop. A fantastic piece of work Mathias!

Here's to good sales :ernae:

Yes, the shop is awfully slow currently.
I think that is because my provider opens slots on demand, so to speak.
Since it's been quite in the past few month it may take a day or two before the server is back to speed.

Jawull! Ausgezeichnet! Wirklich Spitze! Ich kreige einen riesen Hunger! :icon_lol:

Never thought I'd ever use these words! Awesome work Mathias and Classics Hangar.

Wo ist mein Kreditkarte? :salute:

That looks superb, my credit card is trembling already! I take it she is easier to fly the than the 'butcher-birds?

Congratulations Mathias, fantastic piece of art! I have been waiting for Taifun for a long time. Once I will be back at home, I will make an order to Augsburg ;)

I would say so, calypsos.
Being a GA aircraft she ain't half as nervous as the Fw190, even though she has a fairly direct control response......and there's always the AvHistory airfiles that model coupled MOI's more accurately than anyone else. :)

Fantastic work, thanks to all involved people at classics hangar :applause:
My first impressions after 5 Minutes of flight - wwwwwaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhoooooooo :jump:

Congratulations for this release Mathias and team!:applause:
The site is still a bit slow but the download is fast enough.

I won't have time to test right now, but tonight i will most certainly!

Mathias, what's the size of the EXE? mine is 247,3MB...

No time to fly her yet, but got to take a look around her sitting on the ground. Just beautiful, Mathias! :applause: It's all a work of art, but that VC, wow.

Thanks.

The FW190 was a very modern aircraft for its days and is much easier to "operate" than the Bf108 (The FW190 has auto pitch, auto mix, etc. just selct the correct number of rpm and fly!). But as the Taifun is much lighter and has less power it is easier to fly once you found out how to operate it..

For instance it took me quite some time to master the pitch control from the propeller and I had quite some problems before I understood the cold engine didn't run stationary without a bit of throttle.

But once you have mastered the very realistic "operations" you can enjoy flight and even better the looks of a perfect cockpit. (I really love the carpet!!!).

Cheers,
Huub

Did a quick flight today and must say: beautifulllll!!!!! :applause:
Nice little plane! The VC is beautiful! Thanks for that Mathias! Allways a pleasure to fly your aircrafts.

Ps: The "change language of gauges label" button is a nice feature. Thanks for that.

Congrats to the release Mathias, looks amazing! And looking at your 190 I guess it handles pretty nice, too. Maybe someday...:wavey:

This aircraft is not only a joy to fly, it's a work of art too! Biased? You bet, and unashamedly too! :applause::applause::applause:
