his is a repaint only for the Flight Replicas Bf-109G. This aircraft was fully restored to flying condition and operated for several years at Duxford and unlike every other flying 109G, Black 6 is a real "Augsburg Eagle". The aircraft was built in Leipzig in 1942 and saw brief service with JG 77 in Libya, flown by Lt. Heinz Ludemann. The aircraft, having been grounded due to damage, was captured by Bobby Gibbes and the RAAF with the allied push westward. It was Bobby Gibbes' plan to fly it...
