Messerschmitt Bf-109K, and a little more Boomerang....

Well, finally have a couple of screenshots of the 109K to share, still very much a w.i.p., but along enough to give a hint of what's coming. Not everything textured or complete, but you get the picture. You have to experience the flight model to believe it.

Plus, a couple of shots of the Boomerang: one in her native combat environment, thanks to Mark aka roger-wilco-66 and everyone who did such a tremendous job, and a second which shows the tracers from the working weapons systems (yellow tracers for the cannons, red for the machine guns) - this screenshot doesn't really do the gun system justice, but it's all a screenshot will show. :)

Booma also now has a fully working intertial starter system, pilot operated two-stage boost for operating at altitude, and you'd better look after your engine.... :)

Just finishing up the gauge work on the Boomerang at present, so release shouldn't be too far away. :mixedsmi:

(And thanks again to Bill Womack for the Dillingham, Hawaii scenery!)

Wow, I would love to be that kid on the bike. What an exiting life he must have, living close to an airstrip where the vintage aircrafts just pop out of the sky!

Looks great Mike, but I knew it would ;)

Cheers,
Huub

I was that kid. My parents house was off the end of a warbird museum's field. I'd watch in awe as B-17, B-25, P-51, P-40 ect would fly over.

What about he's on his way to his girlfriend, a bit down the road, like he does every day. Suddenly, in the distance, he spots an unfamilar silhouette... He bikes a little faster... " Holy Moses! It's an aircraft!! Must've landed there with engine trouble or something... It looks abandoned... What if i try and climb aboard... "

What he doesn't know is that the pilot is not far away, looking for petrol..

He got some stick from his girlfriend for being so late but he will always remember the close encounter he had with this abandoned magnificent flying machine. He didn't stay long with his girlfriend neither, eager to return home to see if the flying machine was still there. It wasn't....

All that was left were two empty petrol drums, proving that he had not been dreaming. He could swear he heard the unmistakable sound of an old prop fighter up there in the clouds...

Wonderful work, Mike ! Both the modeling and the screenies ! :applause:( have to install Dillingham right away on my new machine, those trees look fantastic )

Looking forward to both the Boomerang and 109K ! :salute:

cheers,
jan
