FS2004/FSX Me 262 Collection. World War II saw the introduction of jet aircraft, and one of the most prominent jets of the conflict was the Messerschmitt Me-262, a twin-jet fighter of advanced design. It was the first operational jetfighter to see combat. One of the strangest variants was the Me 262A-1a/U4 "Pulkzerstorer" which carried an awesome 50mm cannon. This was intended to be the ultimate bomber-killer but only a few were tested. The highspeed HG I, nicknamed "Pfeilflugel" or Flying Arrow Wing, incorporated an increase in the inboard wing chord, which was achieved by modifying the wing forward of the main spar, a tailplane swept back 40 degrees and a cockpit canopy with a lower profile. All three Gmax models by A.F. Scrub.

The "Schwalbe" or Swallow has always had a special place in my aviation heart. It was an amazing piece of engineering...held back only by the idiotic monster that ruled my fatherland in those dark days. In FS those sinister things have no meaning and it is only the airplane that counts.
Like the Connie's this is one aircraft I can't seem to have enough of.

Cheers
Stefan

Always a favorite of mine too. I've got the Flight Replicas 262 and love it. But I'll darn sure check this out as a couple of those versions aren't included in the Flight Replicas pack.

BTW, for those that don't know, the Me 262 sounds for the default CFS 3 aircraft were recorded by MS from the first of the new build 262s and work great in FS. I use those for all of the 262s in my hanger.
