Messy Le Mans Series start.

First race of the season today at Paul Richard, with a total chaos at the start. Apparently some marshalls were still busy trying to remove a stalled car, so the pace car (Rolling start) had to lead the field another lap, but the race director gave the entire field the green light.. Here's what happened:

Not the only safety car crash..

Remember this WTCC crash in Pau last year (Also in France!):

Or this on during an F1 race in Brazil:

Or this one in the Dutch Supercar Challenge where the safety car stops in the Blanchimont corner at Spa (Fastest corner on the track!) to pick up the leader:

That WTCC incident at Pau is one that is not forgotten!
What really intrigued me was appalling driving standards through the field leading up to the blind, deaf and dumb 'Safety Car' driver compounding the felony.

I recall the Spa effort as well, really nasty and not entirely the fault of the safety car, but more of a collective disaster on the part of track management by the stewards/marshals allied to some stupidity on full display by some of the 'drivers'.
