I have made 7 missions to compliment those that have already been made by AF=Midway, Enrique Godoy, and Marc Czygan.
I have only a little experience with design and the missions are fairly simple.
Hopefully I have gotten the download instuctions right.
I will leave them up for any feedback until the end of January and then upload any changes.

Just finished getting all the missions to load. This is what I have found for your "fix file"

Mission #1 the aircraft name in the download is PBY5a not VN_PBY_5A_Catalina.
Mission #2 Needs download link for the SHJ_TANKER_AO and the SHJ_TROOP_SHIP_AP.
Mission #6 There is and never was an AF_F4F4_Wildcat just F4F4_Wildcat. Needs a link for the WD_Pilot weapons pack.
Mission #7 Wildcat issue.
Mission #19 Wildcat issue.
Mission #21 PBY and Wildcat name issue.

I have now added the links the the two ships by UncleTgt to my readme file.
The WD_Pilot seems to be by Bismarck13, but the link is no longer there, I will keep trying.
I realise where the AF_F4F4_Wildcat came from. The AF=Midway Pack has their aircraft folder as AF_F4F4_Wildcat, but it is just F4F4_Wildcat inside the folder.
In the same vein I have a VN_PBY_5A_Catalina, and the files are for a VN_PBY_5A_Catalina, but they seems to be the same as the PBY5a files.
I will check them all out.

For the missions sake i'd rename the aircraft.cfg entry and the folder name. you can add them to the download. the long names are a pain to work with.

example:

Folder name= VN_PBY_5A_Catalina or what ever the name is. should stay the same as the model.cfg

You can add each folder or add the info in the read me. I'd copy the CFG and put it into a folder. How ever you want to do it, try to keep it simple in the instructions. Otherwise make sure you use the name that comes with the aircraft you want people to use.

If your going to do a campaign it will help in the long run to just do your own names. thats just MHO.
Here is a little extra tid bit.

NOTE: remember to use only the First version of the aircraft. If you have multiple skins you don't want to use them. it will put PBY_5A_Catalina.1 if you had a second aircraft.

I´ve flown missions 1 to 4 so far, and I´m really enjoying it! You did a great job, and I hope to see more missions from you in the future!

May I make a small suggestion?
If you hide the enemy units from the player, then there is a nice element of surprise when the action starts. In the real event the pilots also didn´t know, in most cases, which and how many enemy planes or ships they would encounter.

About the G4M in Mission 1: It really wouldn´t be necessary to change the unit family to 1 in the DP. Towards the end of the .mis file there is a list of all units in the mission. If you make sure that the unit family in this place is a 1, then the plane will act as a fighter, even if the DP is set up as a bomber.

A different question: In the Missions Background document, you list some more missions by one Enrique Godoy. These look interesting too, but I cannot finnd them anywhere. Can you give me a hint where to look?

All went well with the instructions (although I will have to do something about the scenery, I have trees and buildings in the water.)
I like the idea with the MG Tourer mission.
Enrique's Missions are also very good and very well researched.

make sure you have the correct scenery or have disable one. it could be your library order as well. thats normally the cause of land type objects in the water.

your most welcome on the tips. anything to help. you can have the duplicates just remember not to use them in the mission by mistake. there are all kinds of things to look for when doing missions. maybe thats why it takes me so long. LOL

About your scenery problem with my Buffalo missions: That may have something to do with the mesh scenery.
Xavier´s EAWWII scenery calls for some add-on mesh, as described in the readme file of this scenery. If you do noth have this mesh installed, or if you use Rumba´s mesh, it is possible that some buildings are in the water, as the coastlines may be different.

If I can help in any way with this, please let me know.

Here are some ideas to think about.

New trigger "player engine on"
New event "Start of mission" Event disables Warp. Makes you form up until WP2 is reached before warping.

Remove all events for WP4 and WP5. Then remove triggers for WP4 and WP5 and move WP4 just past WP3.
WP4 is just used to make sure everyone is headed in the right direction.
Delete WP5
Use the "left combat zone" trigger for new Event "Mission complete" and if torp is gone and player is out of combat zone and not under attack he can warp home.


I say this because the first time I flew it, I got jumped be Zeros droped my torp and ran like hell. Two Zeros stayed on my tail halfway back to Midway.
After they gave up I warped and found myself way back at WP4.

I also added a rear gunner view so I can fight back some.

Thanks for the tips.
I will have a go at your suggestions tomorrow. I found the same things as you with the Zeros. They hang on, lucky the Marauder is fairly fast.
I initially tried 'alternate waypoints', but I haven't got the hang of them yet.

I have the mesh that Xaviers EAWWII scenery calls for, but I also have Rhumbas Mesh and the Watermasks installed as well as CFS2 Africa_SAsia Water.
Disabling Rhumbas Mesh and the Watermasks showed no change, I have not yet checked CFS2 Africa_SAsia Water.
I will try a few more changes with the scenery and see how I go.
