Military logos In psd format

Does anyone know where I can get logos for repaints that are in photoshop formats, I downloaded some from simmerspaint shop, are there anymore websites out there with similiar logos ?

I usually google decal sheets, for modeling aircraft or boats. They come on a blue background, or white and are easily selected with the Magic wand (with a set tolerance) or you can use the Pen tool.

I search the web and download the largest size image I desire, then use that as a template to make my own in Photoshop using the pen tool to keep the graphics in a vestor format, which is not effected when enlarging or downsizing like a transparent .gif.

You can find a lot in wikipedia if you dig and dig. You can also go to decal manufacturer's website and grab their images to use as a reference when you paint your own. You do paint your own don't you? Just enlarge what you find, trace over it on single layers for each color or detail, and then merge/reduce the end result to fit. Looks 100% better than just scanning a decal sheet. You can make any necessary color corrections that way also.

It depends, the USAF has a lot of their shields and badges in .eps vector format so they can be rescaled to any size. Then also check each base or wing's website as there are usually more there that are specific to the squad/base/ect

They're not military, but you can also find great reference work here:

But remember to use them only as reference and note the copyright statements all over...

For some reason, my Corel Photopaint 6 and 10 have a ton air force insignias as part of the included clip art. Often, a simple web search will turn up somethin' useful.

http://www.rc-network.de/magazin/artikel_04/art_04-0040/art_04-0040-02.html (one of the best, all vector drawings, roundels, letters, logos and more. They come in Corel Draw, Adobe Illustrator and Windows Metafile format.)

If you are looking for a variety of flags and roundels, I've found http://cocardes.monde.online.fr/v2html/en/accueil.html to be useful also. It has a pretty comprehensive list and examples of roundels and insignia (country, not unit or other markings). It doesn't have everything, or every variant, but a lot of them. They are in JPG, GIF or BMP format, so they are useful for smaller ones, or as background and reference info for creating your own vector versions.
