Happy to do it 1150. ;)

There's one item I forgot to include in the readme. The "72" has spoilers under each main wing. These aid in high speed dives (compressibility), and also in a tight turning fight. But for the later, try to stay above 130 knots. (stall).

Milton has them modeled in the aircraft "D key", and the needed entries are included in the air file.
Give'em a try in tight turns. I think you'll like it. :onthego:

Dave,

My apologies for not responding to this sooner. This is outstanding work, thank you so very much!

By this point, aircraft like this were really pushing the limits of piston-engined technology. :applause:

That's true Rami. When you think about it, whats the max limit that a 14' diameter, four bladed propeller can rotate before "G" forces rip it apart.
Enter the turbine...:icon31:

It's really quite amazing that they reached nearly 2000 rpm on props. If you ever saw something rotating at that speed, say a metal shaft, and consider the prop. :icon_eek:
That's one helluva breeze.

Anyways, thank you for the compliment. ;)

Yeah i did. I just ran all of the bare metal skins of the XP-47 and 72 through Paint.NET to adjust highlighting, brightness, hue and saturation. Then i go back and put a slightly darkening touch on the markings and painted areas to restore them. Of course it helps to also put a wee bit of shine on the model to ice the cake. I'm having a good time with this model. Had to work a little magic on the flight model to make this bird more competitive in the knife fight, making the AI perform better as well. I like the 47 too but the 72 is my fav.

Thanks to you for the convert and the extras, and Milton for the modeling. Good job guys :encouragement:
