MILVIZ Aviator Series F-15E Eagle Screenies

OK! I am not trying to repaint or coerce anyone to make a change. Please do not take that position. Diego, I agree wholeheartedly with you. Thank you for the picture.

So the answer to my question is: Yes Jim, the USAF is now painting F-15E a very dark color as shown in the screenies.

I got it! Thanks. AND I still love it!! Now back to practice in the T-38.

Honestly Jim, I didn't interpret your inquiry as to the darkness of the gray as anything other than a question...certainly not coercian or pressure to change it either. I really don't think Diego meant to imply you were doing that either, at least his statement didn't read that way to me. As the screenies show, we have dark gray and light gray at this time, and when Gunnar is finished there's going to be numerous shades of who-knows-what-gray.

I don't think the AF is painting the E a dark gray these days, but they did paint them dark gray quite a few number of years ago. Originally, the E came with a very dark green.

Cheers.

Here are some from my Dawn Patrol over Alaska along with some other flights around there.

Maybe it's just the screenshot fidelity, but this one appears to have far more detail than the "other" Strike Eagle.

Nice screenies on the first page. The screeny series of the light gray paint look almost real to me.

On the external we put every single one of the stencils on... and, for the most part, they are readable. I can plainly see that this is not the case with the "other" bird. Perhaps they are not done yet?

As well, though ours is very dirty right now, and the dirt is inverted (black from white), these are all layers in the paint kit and Gunnar will be messing around and making some nicer ones soon.

In terms of physical modeling and definition... well, our gear is quite complex and so are the AB's.

But, all that said, where ours will beat ANY other F-15's is in the code. I will not say more yet but I think you will all be impressed... Perhaps you remember Diego was one of those who was ragging on me to make systems correct for our stuff? Well, ask him what he thinks... (Diego, answer but without specifics please)

Yes your right it is special and hope to see the AI with it. Will this package include the C and E models. From what i can see you are close to a release did you guys ever tought about doing what DCS did with the A-10 meaning selling the beta and get the update for free.

Let me be perfectly clear on this and another point:

We will never, EVER release something that is NOT as ready as we can make it.

And, we will never, EVER release half a product. An external model with no VC is NOT a product. It is, in my view, a ripoff designed to make the dev some quick cash.

The C will be released after but those who buy the E will get the C for a rebate.

We are not, at this time, doing a D.

Our AB petal system is fully operational and includes all the main visible parts. However, it is not impacting on FPS significantly as it is low poly.

On our MP/AI birds, we have significantly lowered the polys and the textures on the external birds so that we can keep the FPS up.

Please see this video here for all the moving parts. Note that the weapons in the video are not necessarily in the product.

Found and borrowed this pic.

This is an awesome photo in that the bird looks so smooth and sinister. I like this paint more than the ones I remember. Gunnar can do this.
Never mind the 'other' one, I'll stay with Milviz, Colin and the guys.

Back to training, no back to work. Shame work gets in the way sometimes.
Jim

I would like to say that I'm sorry if it seems like we're attacking Iris. Well.... I might have been doing so. But, no more. We will rely, from this point on, solely on our product(s) quality.

We have one of the best teams ever in the biz working with us and that will, in the end serve us well.

OK, well I guess this topic has come up with at least a few people. So I'll respond too, here goes:

This is my third thread about the Milviz F-15E over the last five months, I'm not attacking anyone, just posting shots of a model airplane. I can see the titles of "their" thread and "this" thread are similiar, but it's composed of the company name and the plane in question....not too different than the names of my other threads.

Seriously, I enjoy Iris planes, too, and I have just about all of them...thank you Mr Brice. I am a consumer of these flight models, I have bought ALOT of them from MANY devs.

I am not an employee of any model builder. I do test for Colin and support his products, simply because I enjoy testing, and his products are pretty dang good. Actually, they're better than that, even.

I dabble in flight sim, and there are many fine people in flight sim, but it's not my life or my social life...so it's not at a level of importance where I need to "take-on" anyone. I usually log onto SOH or the Milviz sight in between my real flights. I may make a comment, and then log off and go fly again. Only my dad and my girlfriend even know I do flightsim, as I don't discuss any of this with my real world flying friends. Many have put flightsim and the flightsim community at such a high level of standing in their life that there's...good grief...*politics* at play. I don't do politics at the hobby level.

^Agreed.

I am a tester for the Milviz F-15E, and I can honestly say she's turning out to be something very special.

Having said that, I will most certainly purchase the Iris F-15E as well when she comes out. I am a big fan of Tim (I believe is his name). I fell in love with his work a few years ago when the Aerosoft F-16C came out (I just love the cockpit and HUD).

Like Bone, I am not an employee of Milviz, simply a tester (thanks to Colin). I too am a real world pilot (though not as high in the ranks as Bone), but perhaps in 3 years you'll see my flying CF-188's.

Many of my friends snicker at me for being into flightsim, but hey, I've been doing it since Janes US Navy Fighter, and by the time I started instrument, I breezed right through it, where others had significant troubles.

No politics here as well. If I like what I see, I buy it. If not, I simply do not post. Now the old Diego, that's another story, but I've tamed my ways :icon_lol:

I think both birds will compliment each other, and it is my personal belief that the more jets available for FSX, the better.

Regards, Diego

Just as a matter of interest.....Members of vUSAF are involved in the development and testing of these birds :D. I myself (Main programmer on the 15C and sub-programmer on the E) am the squadron leader for the v391st FS at vUSAF and we will be offering special training in these birds. Several of the airstaff and our ACC MAJCOM commander are testers.

Oh yeah we use the milviz T-38 in our training program as well ;).

It seems that new F15E will be a revolution in the weapon aspect. But few has been tell about it. Could you give us a preview? I am really anxious!

Thank you!

Diego

Wow these are amazing looking models. Makes me want to upgrade to FSX.

What's cool for me is to see the scenery (KLSV) that I spent two years of my life creating, ending up in screenshots used to promote the E model. I get a real kick out of that!

BTW, are you using the Nellis scenery in FSX? If so, it looks great.

Diego, (Daisan)....

Right now, we're keeping that under wraps until we are done with all that goes into it.

Suffice to say that those who like systems and realism in their sims will be very happy.

Ok, I understand. I try to follow Chris developments. They are really incredible!

Keep up the good job!

Diego
