Milviz Cessna 310R Manuals, Paint Kit, And Almost Time For Release

I don't think so, as I corrected the FDEs for the Carenado Cessna 185 and made a completely new flight model for the Flight Replicas Super Cub. I'm one of the customers you mentioned who make the less-than-perfect-upon-release-planes fly realistic. ;)

Best regards

Bernt

You're BeaverDriver? I thought he was in Canada?

Edit - my apologies, I see it was you AND BeaverDriver who is someone else entirely. Did you tweak the BirdDog also or was that someone else again?

No, that's just Carenado releases :173go1:

A good case in point with the Caravan - Carenado made a point of saying that it was flight tested and approved by real Caravan pilots and opinion is severely divided among the flight tuning specialists out there as to what needs to happen to it next to make it perfect.

Stallings is not an SOH Member.

He was a member up until a few weeks ago. It's quite obvious that you have a personal "bone to pick" here, which quite honestly has no place in this discussion, as it is totally irrelevant and frankly gone way beyond obnoxious.

I have by now invested over $30k of my professional time into this project, but consider it as a labor of love...

I think you are reading a little too far into my statements but good heavens! I hope you get your money back.

Beaverdriver did the engine part for the C-185 and he talked me into making the revised FDEs for the 185. I have nothing to do with the Bird Dog FDE design.
I doubt that Bill will earn THAT much money with the 310. I don't think that it's possible to get rich by making FSX add-ons, especially if you are only one part of the team.
IMHO you need to really LOVE what you do, otherwise it will not be as good as you want it to be. (thanks Mike ;) )
I was impressed about the initial screenshots Milviz posted, so I applied for the 'job'.
A lot of simpilots aren't real pilots, so my ultimate goal is to simply deliver flight dynamics that are as close to real life as possible to make them experience an FSX plane in the most realistic way.
Hopefully even 'real' pilots will use the 310 for single engine (and/or IFR) training....

What we tried to do here is to bring not only the look but the feel to this plane... We wanted to make the immersion factor as high as we could without making it a real drag to fly... i.e. keeping it fun.

I would like to think we accomplished that but, in the end, it will be all of you, the customers, who decide that...

I'm really hoping the Simmarket can pull the rabbit out of the hat a bit sooner...

We shall see...

Well I only have two twins including the obvious and classic Duke so another good one would be a welcome addition.

Indeed, that's why I thought it was curious to bring it up. I could never sit down and work out the actual dollar rate of all the time I spent on my my hobby otherwise I would find it very hard to want to do it any more.

Try not to pass judgement on a product before its out. Having pilots in the team helps a LOT. No, it wont guarantee a 100% accurate product, but it will always help out iron out unique design behavure that is non-standard, just as stated above. Things like how it fly's on one engine, or how it stalls is very difficult to simulate WITHOUT real life pilot input. You can do the math all day long, but it wont feel right till someone who has done it in real life gives it a pass. Ken's input has been invaluable in this product, and the team has put a LOT of faith into his words to the point of delaying the release many times because something didnt feel right for him, and I think that attention to detail WILL show in the final product.

Ultimatly, you will be the judge of that, but only after release. I myself am very proud of the product, and its one of my best and last works in FSX. I just really hope Colin makes his money back on it, so his team can contenue providing more great aircraft.

What difference does it make how long he has been around. These forums are full of flightsimming real pilots who work on add-ons for money, for their ego or for other reasons. The fact that it is Stallings in particular is what is being used as a selling point. I'm just saying that that's not neccesarily a good idea.
I dare say there will be various tweaks to the flight model after it's released anyway just as there are with most other add-ons which have been beta tested by teams of real pilots. That seems to be the way of things these days.

I'm glad to see that there is a range of aircraft in the package though and will read the reviews with interest once it is finally released. I also think $30 looks like a good price.

Ken is an actual member of the community, and a flightsimmer himself, not a "Capt. Ace Parks tested our bird and gives it his golden wings of approval! TA-DA!" guy. I think the issue is you are taking his presece in the project at face value (which is pretty much the only way you can) and attributing it to what you have seen in the past (reasonable way of looking at it) rather than looking at him as a long time member of the FS community. Lets just wait and see how the add-on is before talking about what it may not be. ;)

Should you ever decide to sell on your site LMK, as I can recommend some software that I've worked with. Price is very good and can handle multiple products (unlimited?), using PayPal. No PayPal account needed for those using a credit card.

Keeping as much of the product cost as possible always help! :wavey:

If I did read more into what you wrote, I do apologize for what may have been an overreaction.

Since I 3d model and program systems/gauges for a living, I have software that allows me to track the actual time I spend working on specific projects. It's the only way I can document my time! ;)

If there was any purpose to me being so specific, it would be to point out that there's far more invested in payware projects than many (most?) might suppose. Since I don't honestly expect to get as much as a 5% return on my time invested, I spent that much time out of love for the subject.

I'm very selective about which projects I'll work on. I turn down far more than I accept... :icon_lol:

People.... I do apologize for the delays. It's out of our hands. Simmarket, for some reason has taken the entire weekend off! (how dare they do that!!!!)

we`re looking at tmrw or maybe even tuesday... sad.. but true.

im ok with tuesday...my money is avalible to me then and this labourday in the US and some holiday in uk,,,,,soooo.....but we are also missing a long haliday weekend of flying a cool play eh????

This is unfortunate since it being the Labor Day weekend and all, I am sure you would have pulled in some extra buyers.

*EDITED* Didn't want to start any trouble.

So far, i haven't seen a company respecting the releasing date yet. There's always something
happening which delays the release. So I think that many simmers didn't expect her at the planned release date. The last one was the Aerosoft Airbus X which has been delayed many times.

Sales through Simmarket has been cancelled, and MilViz has contacted Flight1 to handle the sales. Now it's only a question of how quickly the wrapper tools can be obtained, and the server configured.

Thats good news,as I won't buy anything through simmarket.

Thank you Bill for spreading the word. Yes sales location has been changed to Flight1. We are hoping they will be able to wrap it up and get it out to everyone faster. We apologize for the inconvenience.
