Milviz P-38L Textures Flow Like Water

Used an early version of RS Recorder that works in Prepar3D. It is fun to check aircraft around no matter what aircraft you are piloting.

Those screen-shots of "Putt Putt" look just spectacular (well, the action shots also look great - but I was referring to the paint scheme)!
Last thought (I swear). If you do want to do a 38 after "Putt Putt", and the 459th is probably just too difficult in Flight Sim, please look at "Corky IV". This was the mount of Captain Cornelius Smith. Extra horizontal green fin stripes, white bands behind the green spinners - great detailing.

All good stuff guy, I will definitely see what I can do. The last 1/2 of June it is back to work as a veterinarian. I will be working every day for a while. When I can you can count on me to do create as many as possible.
 
Great job on Putt Putt Maru. Love that metal finish.

Just a note that the texture folder name is different than the fltsim texture entry, so one or the other needs to change for the texture to show up in the Select Aircraft menu.
 
I will definitely check that WH. Just when you think everything is perfect, there is always a little something. Back with a correction. Started Ruff Stuff this a.m.

For the life of me, I can't see the problem. I only have the P3D TacPack version and all works perfectly in P3D v2.5. You can't use this version in FSX so if you could help with a more detailed fix.
 
Sure.

The texture folder is called texture.TS_Putt_Putt_Maru

The [fltsimxx] entry is for texture=TS_Putt Putt Maru

The difference is that there are two additional underline characters for the texture folder which are missing for the fltsim entry in the readme.txt file.

I just figured you had a late night.

Next in line is another P-38 flying today. Ruff Stuff was built by Lockheed at the end of WWII. She survives today.

I have a bad habit of checking the Warbird Library every couple of hours to see if Ruff Stuff and Marge are ready for download. Got to stop that nasty habit. :banghead:
 
You guys are great. Makes an old guy feel useful. I have just about finished Pudgy. You say why not post as you go. I find that if I let a creation rest a bit, sometimes I find mistakes and can make corrections. I will post the next three maybe this evening or for sure in the a.m. That will be Ruff Stuff, Marge and Pudgy. Thanks for your encouragement.
 
Thanks Warhorse, the last one "Pudgy" was a challenge to get the spinner rings just right. Looking at Uncle Cy's Angel next.
