After 3 years living in the cornfield, arguing with Qwest for better internet service that justifies a $40.00 a month dent in my crap income, something WUNNERFUL happened today...

My download speed JUMPED overnight - from a paltry 135KbPS to 1.3 MEG !!! WOOHOO !

Yeah, it ain't NetFlix download speed..... But my life just became a little easier.

Man oh man... When I first got internet in NorCal, it WAS 3.5K... then 15K.... Then a BLAZING 29.9KbPs on dial-up !

I used to drive 40 minutes to my daughter's house in the "civilized world" to download aircraft files at 1 MbPs [cable internet] to save time [that was back when fuel was $1.29 a gallon US.... Don't get me started !], and was elated when I moved to Iowa and able to get 10x speed for my web searches and such.

I wonder how long it will be before they bring 6MbPs to the Cornfields ??? :isadizzy:
