Missing ETO Mission Folders ?

Barnstorm

"Molon Labe"
I was in the process of installing the BOE 1941-1945 Mission Pack HH 300, when reading thru the intrusions, I noticed some thing odd. According to the readme.txt file, the missions are to be inserted into the corresponding Year (ERA) Folder. Problem is, under my main ETO folder, the EARLIEST Mission Year I have is 1943 (?). Note: I have previously installed the BoB Mission Pack and Hot Fix...Did this change any thing?

I amble to start and fly in all ERA's (as long as I don't muck around with the Spawn Options:isadizzy:)

Is this a normal condition after installing the Bob Missions? Can I install the BOE Mission Pack, and if so how? Or, is my ETO install Hosed?

Best Regards,

I think you should have the following mission folders in ETO: missions, 1943_missions; 1944_misssions, 1945_misssion and bob_missions.

Thanks for the response....Those are the mission folders I have. But the instructions for the BOE 1941-1945 Mission Pack HH 300 refer to earlier years. Just wondering how to reconcile the differecnce....

Missing ETO Folders?

Have same problem, just done a fresh install about 3 times (to overcome various errors) and I have the same Mission folders. Is this ok or do I need to instal again?

Up to the same point in installing BOE Mission set: if your listed Mission folders are right, as mine, where do the BOE files go? Where do find the exact Era? I'm lost. Help please?

I seem to remember (when I 'had' ETO installed) that ERA 1 was like 1936 (?).

p.s. due to all these errors and problems with ETO, I don't frustrate myself anymore.

:kilroy:OK, guys...one more time from the top...

Before installing ANYTHING into ETO, you should:

1. Start the sim in Era 1 and exit.

2. Set the ETO Spawn Selector to 1, Stock Spawn Mode.

If the author of any missions packs said otherwise in his installation instructions, he is wrong.

Also, for missions folders there should be 5 present when ETO is set to Era 1 and exited:

missions = Era 1 (When set to Era 1.) (1936_missions when in any other Era).

bob_missions = Era 2 (When set to any Era other than 2.) (missions when set to Era 2.)

1943_missions = Era 3 (When set to any Era other than 3.) (missions when set to Era 3.)

1944_missions = Era 4 (When set to any Era other than 4.) (missions when set to Era 4.)

1945_missions = Era 5 (When set to any Era other that 5.) (missions when set to Era 5.)

If you do not see this arrangement in the Eras above, your install is corrupted.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO REINSTALL ETO!!!!!

Simply go into your CFS3 ETO Expansion main game folder and look for this folder: CFS3 ETO Expansion READMEs.

Go into this folder and look for this document: ERA Files Restore Rev 1.40.rtf.

Follow the instructions EXACTLY.

This WILL put you back on track.:d

Thanks for the "friendly" kick-in-the pants :173go1:, Grizz. Followed the referenced document as advise and all is back to normal.

Have a good weekend....And stay Cool.

Thanks Griz:

I know, I've done it again !!!!! Was being careful, but think I forgot to go back to era1 after testing after each addition. Also, wasn't clearuntil now, to select spawn1 also, after the era1 entry/exit. A Klutz effort. But getting better at this.

I'm just so surprises=d there's SO much stuff in it and still flies well in spite of the errors. 'Damage Tolerant'!

Will restore; thanks Griz. ,again, for the guidance. Magic era sim.

Cheers

I did not find any missions for era1 in BOE 1941-1945 Mission Pack HH 300

They are still on my HD, I decided 15 missions was enough for this mission set..
So I took the (5) I Had built for ERA 1 out to be uploaded and expanded to a 10 mission set for ERA 1 later (this week?)
Not to worry they will be uploaded in a new set just for ERA 1..
