Missing pilot

Yesterday, installed Mike's (FR) J-3 cub set and found the pilot missing. Mike advised clicking a hotspot on the diagonal brace(s) over the panel. All of each brace shows clickable but still no pilot. The clam shell doors open just fine. The only thing I have that could be a factor is the payware Ezdok v1.15 from Flight1 - other than that, I have no clue.

OK, now this sounds stupid - where is the 'advanced animations' check box located?

Edit, its under settings, then hit customise, its in the graphics menu under lens flare and light bloom!
