Mission Builder - can't find in Vista

Well, I got the main CFS program to run a-ok, but I can't find *anywhere* an option to run the mission builder. Before I do a full uninstall/reinstall, is there any way of booting it right from the CFS folder?

(Lord I hate Vista's backwards compatibility. XP actually made SENSE)

Actually, you don't have to make it "backward compatible." Vista will run CFS2 just fine...PROVIDED you turn "User accounts" off.

You need to right-click on the .exe file of CFS2 and make a shortcut, placing it on your desktop.

Right-click on "properties," and in the "Target" line, it should read like this: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Combat Flight Simulator 2\cfs2.exe" /BUILDER:

Your "Start in" line should look like this: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Combat Flight Simulator 2"

Fire up and enjoy! :ernae:

Thanks! That worked, except now it comes up "failure to initialize" the databases...grrr. Stupid, STUPID Vista.

Nope, that could mean that you have either over 100 ships or 100 aircraft (including skins, or repaints) in your CFS2 folders. (It can happen with XP, too, it's a program restriction of CFS2 itself)
