Mission Builder in Win 10

mongoose

SOH-CM-2025
Due to lack of response on issues here I assume no one is using mb with win 10, no one has an issue, or no one knows the answer!:banghead::wavey:

OK one solution. Install mission builder from the sdk. I used XP SP3 comparability. It works and then one has to search the install one wants to use. But haven't tried to make a new missions yet!

So far unable to make other mb exe's work in any of the other installs on both C: and D: drives; just the one in C: and then go into the other installs via that when opening or saving new missions.

My mb exes are working in Win 10 for at least several installs (haven't checked some for ages). Pathways are to the D drive; I like to keep cfs3 installs separate from the OS (in the old days the speed referencing saved textures in the RAM or pagefile was much quicker by keeping OS and install on different drives).

Thing is, I have the Ubisoft DVD, which has the noCD version of cfs3.exe legitimately - I don't know if this makes a difference.

Well I might go back to all on the D: drive i/o my ETO and CFS3 vanilla on C: All the others are on D: but no joy with mb there at the moment. Not sure the noCD point is relevant if I get mb to work in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Combat Flight Simulator 3 but not in the C:\Combat Flight ETO TOWplus or any of the D: installs such as D:\Combat Flight ETO39toBoB etc.

Back to this:banghead:. It doesn't seem to matter much where I put my installs; the only mb that works is in the vanilla install. I can't "install" more than once; I can only copy the mb to other installs (inc. in the uires folder) so the ? is:-

1. Although I can go to other installs when I open a mission, I don't think I'm actually "in" that install, v.v. getting into the correct gsl. This means I don't see all the facilities, airfields, etc., which are in that install/era.

2. I also think it means I can't actually access the facilities in that install; only those on the vanilla.

Any ideas?? (Copying mb into the installs doesn't seem to work)
