Mission issues

mongoose

SOH-CM-2025
I have a mission 46th-13_peenemunde_ver2.xml as below (aircraft updated to TOW versions) which doesn't load and I suspect that it's due to these lines. This also could be an issue for similar types of mission goals; at least unless I understand how to deal or programme such goals.

</AirFormation>
<Goals>
<Goal FacilityID="peee411" Points="1" DamagePercent="60"/>
<Goal FacilityID="peee410" Points="1" DamagePercent="60"/>
<Goal FacilityID="peee309" Points="1" DamagePercent="60"/>
</Goals>
</Mission>

Now I can't find any evidence of actual facility files for "Goal FacilityIDs", nor any file similar to "peeeXXX"

That's strange, one would have thought any missing files would be picked up when opening the xml file in the Mission Builder?

That's the problem!:banghead: I feel it has something to do with "Goal FacilityID" and the so called 'facility'. I nite that I do seem to have a lot of so called facilities possible under missions goal; all refer to a town/city or something, but not something that we would classify as a 'regular' facility'.

I'm of course not a mission builder myself. But I seem to recall the html based help documentation is pretty good? What does it say about goal Facility IDs?

I'm not a mission builder, either, but in the CFS3 library I found a '46th-13' mission in the 'Netwings Missions' section. Looks to be the older
version of what you had modified for the TOW aircraft. I see, too, that the V1 and V2 rocket sites and scientist barrack goals at Peenemunde
are in the global layer (peeeXXX). You are missing the closing </Params> which could be one problem.

OK I found it in my saved mission downloads and will check out the important differences. Thanks!
EDIT

1. Re </Params>. Interesting as other missions only have <Params Version="3.0" etc, and no subsequent </Params>, and yet work.

2. The gsl point is more interesting as in most relevant installs, I only find "peee309". I assume that the other 2 should also bee there. I'll investigate more.

EDIT

I found that I had done a gsl to have all 3 'peeeXXX', so have added them to the current install that I am testing. Thanks for putting my mind in that direction!

EDIT

Basically a couple of other small other changes, version 2 works. In any case I will be doing a much more detailed Peenemunde mission(s) later.

Note: adding </Params> frooze the install on trying to start the mission. so not the problem.!
